January 11 (SeeNews) - North Macedonia-based pharmaceuticals producer Alkaloid [MSE:ALK] said on Thursday it has put into operation a new building dedicated to employee preparation and navigation, an investment worth 3.8 million euro ($4.2 million).
The 4,100 sq m building features over 900 wardrobe spaces intended for employees in the company's pharmaceuticals manufacturing plants, Alkaloid said in a press release.
With this project, Alkaloid concluded the initial quarter of its 20-year investment plan which started in 2017, commissioning 10,720 sq m of pharmaceutical facilities and having invested 18.6 million euro.
The company added it expects to soon finalise another investment aimed at diversifying and enhancing production capacities for solid pharmaceutical forms.
The company's shares traded at an average price of 18,399 denars ($328.4/299 euro) on the Skopje bourse on Wednesday.
Alkaloid has two subsidiaries in North Macedonia and 19 subsidiaries and two representative offices abroad - in Serbia, Montenegro, Kosovo, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Slovenia, Romania, Switzerland, Bulgaria, Turkey, Ukraine, Russia, the U.S. and the UK.
