March 12 (SeeNews) - North Macedonia-based pharmaceuticals producer Alkaloid [MSE:ALK] said that it has repurchased 800 of its own shares at a price of 13,100 denars ($238.65/211.15 euro) apiece on March 6.
Following the transaction, Alkaloid owns 22,557 own shares, representing a 1.58% stake in the company, it said in a bourse filing on Wednesday.
Alkaloid's shares traded at an average price of 12,200.61 denars on the stock exchange in Skopje on Wednesday.
Alkaloid has two subsidiaries in North Macedonia, as well as 16 subsidiaries and two representative offices abroad - in Serbia, Montenegro, Kosovo, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Slovenia, Switzerland, Bulgaria, Turkey, Ukraine, Russia, and the US.
Alkaloid employs 1,620 people in North Macedonia and 492 people in its subsidiaries outside the country.
