January 25 (SeeNews) - North Macedonia posted a budget gap of 35.5 billion denars ($626.1 million/576.4 million euro) in 2022, compared with a deficit of 38.8 billion denars the year before, finance ministry data showed on Wednesday.
Consolidated budget revenues totalled 243 billion denars in 2022, compared with 218.5 billion denars in 2021, as tax revenues rose to 2 billion denars from1.4 billion denars, figures showed.
Total expenditures rose to 278.5 billion denars in 2022, compared with 257.3 billion denars in 2021.
In December alone, North Macedonia's budget was in deficit of 11.7 billion denars, compared with a 8.8 billion denars gap in the same month in 2021.
The government has projected a deficit of 42.7 billion denars in the 2022 budget, equivalent to 5.3% of the estimated gross domestic product.
