January 21 (SeeNews) - The loan portfolio of North Macedonia's commercial banks rose 8.3% year-on-year to 386.9 billion denars ($7.1 billion/6.3 billion euro) at the end of December, central bank data showed on Friday.
Month-on-month, the banks' loan portfolio increased 1.7% at the end of December, the central bank said in a statement.
Loans to the corporate sector grew 8.7% on the year, reaching 184.7 billion denars at the end of December, while loans to households came in at 200.2 billion denars, up 7.8% year-on-year.
