March 5 (SeeNews) - Montenegro's Briv Construction plans to reopen the hotel, formerly known as Teuta, in the Bay of Kotor — a popular tourist destination on its Adriatic coast — in May 2025 following a 44 million euro ($48 million) revamp, local media reported.
The hotel has been rebranded as Movenpick in line with a franchise agreement already signed with French hospitality group Accor, Briv representatives told daily Vijesti over the weekend.
The five-star hotel will function as an urban village with a five-floor central building. The total area under reconstruction is 14,120 square metres, including the revamped hotel, and four newly-built buildings with three floors each, bringing the overall number of accommodation units to 150, the report said.
Briv acquired the Teuta hotel in 2014 from bankrupt tourism and hotel operator HTP Onogost for 6.5 million euro. The hotel is located in the town of Risan.
