September 24 (SeeNews) - Montenegro's gross domestic product (GDP) went up by a real 19.0% on the year in the second quarter of 2021, following a 6.4% decline in the previous quarter, preliminary data of the statistical office indicated.
In the second quarter of 2020, Montenegro's real GDP declined 20.2%.
Montenegro's GDP went up nominally by 25.3% in the three months through June 2021, versus a 21.8% fall a year ago, the statistical office said in a statement.
The country’s GDP totalled 1.072 billion euro ($1.49 billion) at current prices in the second quarter of 2021, up from 918.9 million euro a year earlier.
Final consumption expenditure fell to 1.126 billion euro in the second quarter of 2021 from 979.5 million euro in the like period of the previous year. Exports totalled 398.7 million euro and imports amounted to 771.1 million euro.
