March 24 (SeeNews) - The net inflow of foreign direct investment (FDI) into Montenegro rose 18.1% to 552 million euro ($610.5 million) in 2021, from 467.5 million euro in the prior-year period, the central bank said, citing preliminary figures.
Total FDI inflow increased to 898.4 million euro in 2021 from 663.0 million euro in 2020, while FDI outflow grew to 346.4 million euro from 195.5 million euro, the central bank said.
The inflow of investments in companies and banks went up to 215.1 million euro in 2021, from 123.8 million euro a year earlier, while investments in real estate grew to 278.3 million euro from 116.4 million euro in 2020.
FDI inflow in the form of intercompany lending decreased to 293.8 million euro in 2021, from 389.9 million euro in 2020.
