December 7 (SeeNews) - Montenegro's jobless rate rose to 11.17% at the beginning of December from 10.86% a year earlier, the government's Employment Agency said on Monday.
The number of unemployed increased by 2.83% year-on-year to 29,490 as of December 7, the agency said in a statement on its website.
The number of unemployed in the Adriatic country of 620,000 people totalled 28,245 at the beginning of November, when the jobless rate was 10.7%.
The number of newly employed from the beginning of the current year until December 7 was 19,483, the agency said but provided no comparative figures for the year-ago period.
