PODGORICA (Montenegro), April 4 (SeeNews) – Montenegro's two international airports, in Podgorica and Tivat, are expected to break their annual passenger traffic record this year, state-owned airport operator Aerodromi Crne Gore said.
The number of passengers expected to be handled at the two airports in 2019 totals 2.6 million, according to data from tour operators, Aerodromi Crne Gore said in a statement earlier this week.
The two airports serviced 2.041 million passengers from January 1 to September 23, 2018, according to the latest available data.
Podgorica airport serviced 940,110 passengers in the period, while Tivat airport handled 1,101,375 passengers, the executive director of Aerodromi Crne Gore, Danilo Orlandic, said in September.
Podgorica and Tivat airports serviced a total of 2.185 million passengers combined in 2017, up 17.7% on the previous year.
