December 13 (SeeNews) - Montenegro's gross domestic product (GDP) increased by a real 6.6% on the year in the third quarter of 2023, following an annual growth of 6.9% in the previous quarter, the statistical office said on Wednesday.
The country’s GDP totalled 1.992 billion euro ($2.151 billion) at current prices in the second quarter of 2023, up from 1.869 billion euro in the like period of 2022, the statistical office said in a statement, quoting preliminary data.
Final consumption rose to 1.623 billion euro in the period under review, from 1.444 billion euro in the third quarter of last year. Exports totalled 1.374 billion euro and imports amounted to 1.283 billion euro in July-September 2023.
In the third quarter of 2022, Montenegro's real GDP grew by 3.2%.
