May 16 (SeeNews) - Montenegro's majority state-owned power utility company EPCG [MNG:EPCG] targets the production of 920 GWh of electricity at the Perucica hydropower plant in 2022, down 7% on an annual basis, it said.
“According to the production plan for 2022, the Perucica hydropower power plant should produce 920 GWh of electricity. During 2021, the power plant produced 989 GWh, which was 107.5% of plan,” EPCG said in a statement.
In the period between January 1 and May 12, 2022, Perucica has produced a total of 361 GWh of electricity, EPCG said.
In February, EPCG signed a 535,000 euro ($557,100) deal with Serbian civil engineering firm Energoprojekt Hidroinzenjering [BEL:EPHD] for the preparation of project and tender documentation for the installation of an eighth turbine at Perucica hydropower plant (HPP).
Energoprojekt Hidroinzenjering should prepare the documentation in seven months, after which the selection of construction contractors and equipment suppliers for the 24 million euro project for the installation of the turbine will begin, EPCG said back in February.
