PODGORICA (Montenegro), June 24 (SeeNews) – The number of mobile phone subscribers in Montenegro declined 4.69% year-on-year to 1,039,980 at the end of May, according to data from the national telecommunications regulator, EKIP.
The mobile penetration rate in Montenegro decreased to 167.73% in May from 170.78% at the end of April, when the number of subscribers was 1,058,873, figures posted on the EKIP website show.
Montenegro, with a population of around 680,000, has three mobile operators -Telenor, Crnogorski Telekom and M:tel. Crnogorski Telekom had a 34.07% share of the overall number of subscribers at the end of May, followed by M:tel with 33.87% and Telenor with 32.06%.
The share of postpaid subscribers was 59.13% at the end of May.
