PODGORICA (Montenegro), September 21 (SeeNews) – The number of mobile phone subscribers in Montenegro declined 11.8% year-on-year to 1,062,762 at the end of July, according to data from the national telecommunications regulator, EKIP.
The mobile penetration rate in Montenegro increased to 171.41% in July from 169.11% at the end of June, when the number of subscribers was 1,048,550, figures posted on the EKIP website show.
Montenegro, with a population of around 680,000, has three mobile operators - Telenor, Crnogorski Telekom and M:tel. M:tel had a 34.91% share of the overall number of subscribers at the end of July, followed by Crnogorski Telekom with 33.24% and Telenor with 31.86%.
The share of postpaid subscribers was 58.36% at the end of July.
