April 16 (SeeNews) - Montenegro's consumer price index (CPI) grew by 0.8% year-on-year in March, after rising by 0.4% in February, the national statistical office said on Tuesday.
Consumer prices went up by 0.6% on the month in March after increasing by 0.4% a month earlier, the statistical office said in a statement.
The biggest monthly rise in prices in March, of 1.8%, was recorded in the segment of clothing and transport, followed by food and non-alcoholic beverages, of 1.2%.
On the other hand, the costs of housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels, and of communications declined by 0.2% month-on-month in March each.
In 2018, Montenegro's CPI grew by 2.6% after rising by 2.4% in 2017.
