January 17 (SeeNews) - Montenegro's consumer price index (CPI) grew by 1.0% year-on-year in December, after rising by 0.5% in November, the national statistical office said.
In 2019, Montenegro's CPI increased by 0.4% after growing by 2.6% in 2018, the statistical office said in a statement on Thursday.
On a monthly comparison basis, Montenegro's consumer prices went down by 0.1% in December, after increasing by 0.1% November.
The biggest impact on the negative monthly inflation rate came from the fall in prices of clothing and footwear (down 2.4%), recreation and culture (down 0.2%) and communication (down 0.1%).
On the other hand, the biggest monthly rise in prices in December was recorded in the segment of transport, up by 0.6%.
