May 20 (SeeNews) - Montenegro plans to reopen the Podgorica and Tivat international airports on May 20, the managing director of state-owned airport operator Aerodromi Crne Gore, Danilo Orlandic, said on Tuesday.
"Montenegro's airports will open tomorrow for general aviation flights that can be of private or business nature. This is an important message for all of us in Montenegro and abroad because it shows the intention of the state to open up for foreign citizens and meet the tourist season in a serious, responsible and phase way," Orlandic said in his Facebook profile.
Montenegro closed its borders for foreigners and international transport in March to limit the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19). The government started relaxing the measures earlier this month, allowing beaches, cafes and restaurants to reopen.
