PODGORICA (Montenegro), May 17 (SeeNews) – Montenegrin prime minister Dusko Markovic said on Wednesday the government plans to invest 34 million euro ($37.8 million) in the construction of a road connecting the towns of Jezerine and Lubnice.
The project, carried out by Bosnian firm Euro-Asfalt, involves the construction of a bridge, a 2.8 km-long tunnel and a road with a length of 14.4 km, Markovic said, as quoted in a statement by the government.
The Jezerine-Lubnice stretch is part of the road connecting the municipalities of Berane and Kolasin, in the central part of the country.
The Montenegrin government said it invested 890,000 euro in the rehabilitation of the 9 km-long Jezerine-Kolasin section in 2010 and 6.5 million euro in the reconstruction of the Lubnice-Berane stretch, with a length of 10.3 km, in 2015.
