January 3 (SeeNews) - Montenegro has invited three investors interested in winning a consession contract to run the country's two international airports, in Tivat and Podgorica, to submit their offers, transport minister Filip Radulovic said.
“Aware of the situation in which Montenegrin airports currently find themselves, but also of the procedure that began in 2019, we must make a final decision as soon as possible [...]. The transport ministry will complete this procedure during the summer months, and then the government will decide whether to grant a concession to one of the companies, whether a new public call will be issued, or whether the airports will remain under state management," Radulovic said, as seen in a video published by public broadcaster RTCG last week.
Radulovic did not name the three interested investors but Montenegrin news outlet Vijesti quoted prime minister Milojko Spajic as saying last week that they are Aeroports de Paris, Incheon Airports and Corporacion America Airports.
