May 20 (SeeNews) - The ratio of non-performing loans (NPLs) to total loans in Montenegro's banking system was 5.1% at the end of March, the central bank said.
The total value of non-performing loans in Montenegro's banking system amounted to 160.6 million euro ($175.9 million) at the end of March, down 9.8% on the year but up 1.7% on the month, the central bank said in a monthly activity report on Tuesday.
In March, past due loans amounted to 171.5 million euro, down 21.3% on the year, the central bank said.
At end-March 2020, total loans amounted to 3.158 billion euro, up 4.3% year-on-year, while deposits declined 2% to 3.364 billion euro.
Montenegro's NPL ratio stood at 6.91% at the end of last year.
