April 20 (SeeNews) - The blue-chip SOFIX index of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) edged down 0.05% on Wednesday, negatively affected by battery maker Monbat [BUL:MONB] whose shares shed 4.24%.
Monbat closed at 5.65 levs as 150 company shares changed hands, bourse data showed.

The BGBX40 index, which tracks the 40 most traded shares on the Sofia bourse, added 0.12% to 147.40 points. The index was mainly backed by a 41.75% leap in the shares of real estate company FairPlay Properties REIT [BUL:FFP], to 0.73 levs.
The BGTR30 index, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight, lost 0.14% to 741.61 points, dragged down by a 6.54% drop in Bulgarian Stock Exchange [BUL:BSE], the bourse operator itself.
The BGREIT, which comprises seven real estate investment trusts, advanced by 0.06% to 179.27 points, due to a 0.29% rise in Advance Terrafund REIT [BUL:ATER].
Turnover on the BSE main market amounted to 616,900 levs ($342,100/315,400 euro), down from the 972,400 levs on Tuesday.
