May 17 (SeeNews) - Moldova's trade deficit widened by 12.6% on the year to $975 million (936 million euro) in the first three months of 2022, the country's statistics bureau said on Tuesday.
Moldova's exports rose 55.2% on the year, while imports increased by 31.4% in the first three months of the year, the statistics office said in a statement.
In March alone, exports jumped 52.7% on the year to $395.8 million, while imports rose 18.6% to $747.3 million. March trade deficit narrowed by an annual 5.2% to $351.5 million.
