May 16 (SeeNews) - Moldova's trade deficit narrowed by 2.4% on the year to $632.2 million (564.4 million euro) in the first three months of the year, the country's statistics bureau said on Thursday.
Moldova's exports rose 8.1%, while imports increased by 2.9% through March, the statistics office said in a statement.
In March alone, exports grew 6.2% on the year to 257.2 million euro, while imports rose 1.7% to 533.4 million euro.
Moldova's trade deficit widened by 27.1% on the year to $3.057 billion in 2018.
