October 27 (SeeNews) - Moldova issued 2,891 building permits in the nine months through September, down 3.5% year-on-year, the national statistical office said on Friday.
The number of building permits issued for residential buildings declined in all regions, except in the capital Chisinau and in Gagauzia region, the office said in a statement.
About 45.7% of the total number of permits issued for buildings during the January-September period were for projects in rural areas.

The statistics office provided no figures for the value of the projects for which were granted permits.
Moldova issued 3,947 building permits in 2016, down 8.5% from a year earlier.
