May 8 (SeeNews) - The foreign exchange reserves held by Moldova's central bank, BNM, increased by $80.7 million net in April, reaching $2.904 billion (2.592 billion euro), BNM said.
Foreign exchange inflows totalled $120 million in April, BNM said in a monthly report on Tuesday.
Those inflows represented mainly net interventions in the domestic foreign exchange market in the form of currency purchases $57.46 million as well as credits and grants in favor of the finance ministry for investment projects worth $49.87 million;
Foreign exchange outflows totalled $39 million in April, representing mainly debt service payments worth $11.59 million.
The gold reserves held by BNM were worth $3.036 million at the end of March, lower than $3.161 million at end-February.
