August 19 (SeeNews) - The value of deposits with Moldovan banks rose 3.8% on the year to 50.9 billion lei ($2.5 billion/2.2 billion euro) in July, accelerating from a 1.9% increase in the previous month, the country's central bank, BNM, said on Friday.
Leu deposits rose by an annual 15.9% to 27.2 billion lei in July, speeding up from an 11.5% increase in the previous month, BNR said in a monetary statistics report.
On the other hand, foreign currency deposits dropped 7.4% in July following a 6.9% drop in June, and reached 23.7 billion lei.
