CHISINAU (Moldova), January 27 (SeeNews) – Moldova’s wheat output rose to an estimated 1.0 million tonnes last year from 495,000 tonnes a year before, the country's statistics office said on Monday.
Moldova's maize output increased to an estimated 1.4 million tonnes in 2013 from 572,000 tonnes in 2012, the statistics office said in a statement.

Moldova's agricultural production rose by an estimated 38.3% on the year in 2013, the office added.
