October 27 (SeeNews) - The average monthly salary in Moldova, one of Europe's poorest nations, rose by an annual 9.9% in nominal terms to 2,740 lei ($247/165 euro) in September, the country's statistics office said on Tuesday.
The September average salary was 12.5% higher on the year in real terms, the statistics office said in a statement.
The average monthly salary was 2,377 lei in the public sector and 2,949 lei in the private sector in September.
