November 14 (SeeNews) - Moldova's central bank, BNM, on Wednesday sold 12 million lei ($1.06 million/723,700 euro) worth of two-year Treasury notes, BNM said.
BNM, which auctions government securities on behalf of the Finance Ministry, offered 12 million lei worth of two-year T-notes, BNM said in a statement. Primary dealers placed bids for 13.53 million lei worth of government securities.
The annual interest rate for the first coupon payment is 17.15%. Variable interest rates will apply for the subsequent coupon payments and they will be announced five days prior to the beginning of the relevant payment period, BNM said.
Coupon payments are due twice a year, on November 16 and May 16. The government securities have an issue date of November 16 and will mature on November 16, 2009.
