October 6 (SeeNews) - The Moldovan central bank, BNM, sold 106.6 million lei ($9.5 million/6.5 million euro) in four Treasury bill issues on Tuesday, above its target offer of 82 million lei, as yields on two of the issues rose, while on the other two fell.
Primary dealers placed bids for a total of 185.3 million lei worth of government securities in the auction, BNM said in a statement. The central bank, which sells the T-bills on behalf of the Finance Ministry, offered 21-day, 91-day, 182-day and 364-day T-bills.
The yield on the 21-day T-bills fell to 3.0% from 3.18% at the previous auction on September 29. Dealers placed bids for 28 million lei worth of T-bills versus 14 million lei on offer.
The yield on the 91-day T-bills decreased to 6.56% from 6.68% at the previous auction. Dealers placed bids for 60.6 million lei worth of T-bills versus 27 million lei on offer.
The 182-day T-bills yielded 11.42%, higher than the 11.05% achieved on September 29. The BNM received bids for 77.2 million lei worth of T-bills, compared to 31 million lei on offer.
The yield on the 364-day T-bills was up to 11.45% from 10.25% at the previous auction, as dealers placed bids for 19.3 million lei worth of T-bills versus 10 million lei on offer.
