November 10 (SeeNews) - The Moldovan central bank, BNM, sold 106.5 million lei ($9.6 million/6.4 million euro) in four Treasury bill issues on Tuesday, above its target offer of 84 million lei, as yields on all issues fell.
Primary dealers placed bids for a total of 175.4 million lei worth of government securities in the auction, BNM said in a statement. The central bank, which sells the T-bills on behalf of the Finance Ministry, offered 21-day, 91-day, 182-day and 364-day T-bills.
The yield on the 21-day T-bills fell to 2.46% from 2.64% at the previous auction. Dealers placed bids for 15.3 million lei worth of T-bills versus 9.0 million lei on offer.
The yield on the 91-day T-bills decreased to 5.39% from 5.82% at the previous auction on November 3. Dealers placed bids for 62.6 million lei worth of T-bills versus 28 million lei on offer.
The 182-day T-bills yielded 10.44%, lower than the 10.60% achieved on November 3. The BNM received bids for 75.7 million lei worth of T-bills, compared to 37 million lei on offer.
The yield on the 364-day T-bills was down to 11.14% from 11.22% at the previous auction, as dealers placed bids for 21.8 million lei worth of T-bills versus 10 million lei on offer.
