August 24 (SeeNews) - Brussels-based investor in European retail parks and convenience centres Mitiska REIM and its Romanian partner Square 7 on Wednesday inaugurated the extension of Slatina Shopping Park, in southern Romania.
The extension comprises a new surface of approximately 7,000 sq m where retailers such as C&A, JYSK, Hervis Sports & Fashion, New Yorker, Kik, Sinsay, Superzoo, Tabac Xpress and Medimfarm will open new stores, the companies said in a joint press release.
Following the inauguration of this second phase of the project, the Slatina Shopping Park now has a total commercial area of 8,700 sq m. The first phase of the park was delivered in 2016.
The amount of the investment was not disclosed.
Mitiska REIM is an investor in convenience real estate, comprising retail parks, urban logistics and multi-let light industrial projects.
As country partner for Romania of Mitiska REIM, Square 7 Properties is co-owning and operating a portfolio of 21 retail parks, which was developed over the past ten years at locations all over Romania. Square 7 Properties also acts as co-investor, developer, and manager for all new retail developments undertaken by Mitiska REIM in Romania.
At the end of July, Square 7 and Mitiska announced the start of construction works for a new retail park in Giurgiu, southern Romania, with a gross lettable area of 7,000 sq m.
