February 14 (SeeNews) - Cookware manufacturer Metalac [BEL:MTLC] generated the highest turnover on the Belgrade Stock Exchange on Wednesday, as share indices fell, bourse data showed.
A total of 1,672 of the company's shares changed hands, generating a turnover of 3.4 million dinars ($35,500/28,800 euro). Metalac was also the top gainer on Wednesday, as its shares added 0.10% to a closing price of 2,052 dinars.
The total trading turnover on the bourse increased to 50.3 million dinars on Wednesday from 14.6 million dinars on Tuesday, as 126 share transactions were carried out. Trading on the multilateral trading facility (MTP) of the bourse contributed 587,300 dinars of turnover.
Belgrade airport operator Aerodrom Nikola Tesla [BEL:AERO] fell the most among the blue chips on the Belgrade bourse, as it closed 4.23% lower at 1,700 dinars in a trading turnover of 736,100 dinars.
The blue-chip BELEX15 index, which tracks the most liquid shares in Belgrade, fell 1.23% to 760.94 points on Wednesday. On Tuesday, the index rose 0.23%.
The broader BELEXline, a free‐float market capitalisation weighted index, lost 0.85% on Wednesday and closed at 1,605.94 points, after growing 0.13% on Tuesday.
