November 15 (SeeNews) - Malteries Soufflet Bulgaria, a unit of France’s Soufflet Group, intends to invest 30 million euro ($35.4 million) in a new plant in the town of Pleven, the local authorities said on Wednesday.
The new plant will have a capacity to produce 50,000 tonnes of malt per year, Pleven municipality said in a statement following a meeting between the city mayor Georg Spartanski with company officials.

Malteries Soufflet Bulgaria operates a plant in Pleven with a capacity to produce 15,000 tonnes of malt per year.
Malteries Soufflet Bulgaria currently holds a 40% share of the local market, according to the statement.
