February 12 (SeeNews) - The number of building permits issued in Macedonia decreased by 22.8% year-on-year to 257 in December, the state statistical office, Makstat, said on Monday.
The estimated value of the construction projects covered by building permits issued in December fell by an annual 76.7% to 1.7 billion denars ($34.0 million/27.7 million euro),Makstat said in a statement.
In December, 155 permits were issued for new buildings, 19 for civil engineering projects, and 83 for reconstruction projects.
Of the total number of permits issued in December, 184 were issued to private individuals.
During the review period, 209 dwellings were planned for construction, with a total usable floor area of 25,413 sq. m.
