July 7 (SeeNews) - Macedonia's consumer prices added 1.5% year-on-year in June, after posting a 1.2% increase in the previous month, the state statistical office said on Friday.
The prices of food and non-alcoholic beverages, which have the largest weight of 39% in the consumer basket, ticked up 1.1% on the year, after edging up 0.2% in May.
The prices of housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels, which have the second-largest weight of 13.6%, dropped 0.5% year-on-year in June, after decreasing by 0.4% in May.
Prices in the transport segment, with 8% weight in the consumer basket, added 2.1% on the year, following a 2.9% rise in the previous month.
On a monthly comparison basis, consumer prices edged up by 0.3% in June after remaining unchanged in May.
