November 15 (SeeNews) - Macedonian producer of plastic tools and car parts Technoplast started building a 10 million euro ($10.8 million) factory in the industrial zone near Skopje, the country's government said.
The factory will export its output to the EU, to be used in the manufacturing of car brands such as Mercedes, BMW, Audi, Porsche, Renault and Nissan, the government said in a statement last week. Later, the factory will start to manufacture parts for electrical and electronics industry, too.
The factory will create 200 jobs.
The construction of a building of 4,200 sq m worth 6 million euro is expected to be completed by the end of 2017 in the first phase of the project. It will employ 100 persons.
In the second phase, Technoplast plans to add another building of 3,000 sq m worth some 4 million euro.
Technoplast is a subsidiary of Te-Te Plast, Macedonian producer of plastic parts and tools for different industries. Te-Te Plast, established in 1997, exports most of its output.
