May 5 (SeeNews) - The gasification of the Macedonian town of Prilep will be completed within two and a half years, local media reported, quoting the head of the state-owned company in charge of the project.
The gasification of Prilep is part of a larger project for the gasification of the towns of Stip, Negotino, Bitola, Tetovo and Gostivar, which is financed with a 90 million euro ($102.7 million) loan from Deutsche Bank and Erste Bank, according to a notice published in the country's Official Gazette in November.
The construction of the gas pipeline linking Negotino, Prilep and Bitola will start by the end of July, broadcaster Sitel reported on Wednesday.
A company in charge of gas distribution to the final consumers will be set up in the summer under a public-private partnership scheme, it added.
