October 5 (SeeNews) - Lindner Immobilien Management, a Bulgarian subsidiary of Germany's Lindner Group, is making initial investments of 35 million levs ($18.8 million/17.9 million euro) in total in the development and construction of education infrastructure and a technology park in Lozen, on the outskirts of Sofia, the group said.
Next week, Lindner will break ground on the construction of a school and kindergarten campus for an initial investment of 15 million levs, Lindner said in a statement on Wednesday.
The facility, named Campus Lozen Park, will be located within the company's residential compound at Lozen and is expected to start operation in the autumn of 2025. The first phase of the residential development at Lozen, whose construction started in 2019 and which comprises 136 residential units, was completed at the end of 2022 for an investment of 80 million levs. The second phase of construction of Residential Park Lozen is already in progress.
Lindner is also already working on the first stage of construction of Lozen Tech Park, for an investment of 20 million levs. The planned facility will focus on fostering economic and research and development activities. The German group, a large supplier of building materials and services, has plans to expand its team of R&D engineers in Bulgaria.
Lindner Group CEO Helmut Lang projects a total investment of 300 million levs in Residential Park Lozen and an overall commitment of over 600 million levs by the group in Bulgaria, making it one of the largest German investors in the country, according to the statement.
Lindner Bulgaria, set up in 1998, markets the Lindner Group’s services in Bulgaria and Albania and offers turnkey engineering services from design to complete construction. The company's other operational projects include Business Park Sofia and Residential Park Sofia.
