PRISTINA (Kosovo), April 22 (SeeNews) – Kosovo's trade deficit increased by 45.8% year-on-year to 320.7 million euro ($386.5 million) in March, the country's statistical office said on Thursday.
Exports (FOB) rose by 92.2% year-on-year to 61.8 million euro, while imports (CIF) increased by 51.8% to 382.5 million euro in March, the statistical office said in a statement.
Kosovo's main export destinations in March were the Albania, US and North Macedonia. Base metals, various manufactured articles, and plastic and rubber products were Kosovo's main export items.
Machinery, mechanical and electrical equipment, mineral products and food, beverages and tobacco made up the bulk of Kosovo's imports in March. Most of the imports originated in Germany, Turkey and China.
