November 22 (SeeNews) - The Croatian arm of Danish bedding and furniture retailer JYSK said its earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) rose 4.9% to 83.3 million kuna ($12.4 million/11.2 million euro) in the fiscal year 2019.
The company's turnover jumped 9.2% to 535.4 million kuna last year, JYSK Hrvatska said in a statement on Thursday.
"We are happy with the results we achieved and this was definitely the best year so far for JYSK Hrvatska," the head of the Croatian unit, Vesna Kukic Loncaric, said in the statement.
The company's sales growth was sharpest in the home furnishing segment and in all bedding segments.
JYSK entered Croatia in 2009. It opened one new outlet in the past year and now operates 43 shops in the Adriatic country, employing 452 people.
