June 12 (SeeNews) - Greek toy retailer Jumbo said the group's sales in Bulgaria increased by 9% year-on-year in the first five months of 2024, against an 8% rise posted for the group overall.
In May alone, sales in Bulgaria went up by an annual 9%, lower than the 10% growth registered for the group as a whole, Jumbo said in a statement on Tuesday.
In Romania, Jumbo's sales leapt by 16% on the year last month and by 13% in January-May.
In the first five months of last year, the group booked a 20% annual jump in sales in Bulgaria and a 19% climb in Romania, according to an earlier statement.
In May, Jumbo's shareholders approved the distribution of a gross dividend of 1 euro ($1.07) per share out of the company's 2023 earnings. Dividend payments will start on July 16.
