May 11 (SeeNews) - Italian car seat manufacturer Aunde has officially launched a production unit at its factory in the industrial zone of the Serbian town of Jagodina, the city authorities said.
The company plans to hire 370 employees at the factory by the end of this year, bringing their total number to 624, the president of the city council, Dragan Markovic, said, as quoted in a statement by Jagodina city authorities on Wednesday.

Another 1,100 jobs will be opened in Jagodina by the end of 2017 as the construction of a new factory will start in June, Markovic said during the official opening of the unit, without disclosing details.
Aunde opened its 3.0 million euro ($3.3 million) plant in Jagodina in 2014. The plant manufactures car seat systems for Fiat models, including the Fiat 500L which is manufactured in Serbia's Kragujevac, some 40 kilometres from Jagodina.
The company started the construction of the new unit at the factory in September after signing a supply contract with German car maker Mercedes.
The Aunde Group, with its brands Aunde, Isringhausen and Esteban, operates more than 100 plants in 27 countries.
