BUCHAREST (Romania), September 25 (SeeNews) – Dutch banking group ING will lay off up to 280 employees in total at its Czech and Slovak units in 2010 after it relocates some operations to Romania, news agency Reuters reported on Friday.
"The banking group will move part of its IT, financial and operational units to Romania, cutting 30-40% of its 700 staff in the countries by the end of 2010," Reuters quoted ING spokeswoman Alexandra Gjuric as saying.
In Romania, ING is active in banking, leasing, factoring, real estate, life and pension insurance.
