April 9 (SeeNews) - The International Monetary Fund (IMF) said on Tuesday Serbia's economy will grow by 3.5% in 2019, confirming its earlier forecasts.
In 2020, Serbia's gross domestic product (GDP) is expected to grow by 4.0%, IMF said in the April edition of its World Economic Outlook (WEO) report.
The 2018 economic growth forecast affirms the projection made in the IMF's October WEO report.
Serbia's harmonised consumer price inflation is seen at 2.0% in 2019 and 2.5% in 2020, according to the April WEO report.
Unemployment is projected to fall to 13.4% at end-2019, from 13.7% in 2018.
Serbia’s current account deficit is forecast at 5.5% of GDP in 2019 and 5.0% in 2020, the IMF said.
