January 12 (SeeNews) - Hungarian businessman Lorinc Mezaros acquired Hotel Miramar in Opatija, on the northern Croatian Adriatic coast, from Austrian hotel owner Wilfried Holleis, Croatian media reported.
The new owner will assume the management of the hotel in March, and will manage it independently, newspaper Novi List reported on Wednesday.

It did not provide financial details about the deal. By the time this story was published, the Mezaros group had not answered a request by SeeNews for further information on the deal.
The four-star hotel has 108 rooms in five buildings.
The Hotel Miramar had a revenue of 34.2 million euro ($37.6 million) in 2022, up from 8.1 million euro in 2021, according to data by consultancy Finance Analytics - Dun & Bradstreet. It reported a net profit of 21.7 million euro in 2022, when it had 92 employees.
Lorinc Mezaros is also an investor in Riva's Hotels & Resorts under construction in Icici, near Opatija.
