April 25 (SeeNews) - Diversified conglomerate Holding Varna [BUL:5V2] led the blue-chip gainers on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange on Wednesday, bourse data showed.
Holding Varna shares closed 4.97% higher at 38.0 levs ($23.6/19.42 euro) in a trading volume of 25 shares.
Total trading turnover on BSE's regulated market rose to 9.1 million levs on Wednesday from 772,400 levs on Tuesday.
Bulgarian drug maker Sopharma [BUL:3JR] was the most traded blue-chip on Wednesday. Some 2.07 million shares in the company, equal to a 1.5% stake, changed hands in a single transaction on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE), bourse data shows.
Software developer Sirma Group Holding [BUL:SKK] fell the most among blue chips, closing 3.22% lower at 0.96 levs.
The blue-chip SOFIX index rose by 0.61% to 663.11 points on Wednesday after closing flat on Tuesday.
The BGBX40 index, which tracks the 40 most traded shares on the Sofia bourse, added 0.39% to 130.75 points, following a 0.02% increase on Tuesday.
The BG-REIT index, which tracks the performance of real estate investment trusts, rose by 0.14% to 115.68 points, after closing 0.20% lower on Monday.
The BG TotalReturn30 index, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight, added 0.12% to 542.45 points on Wednesday, after falling by 0.19% on Tuesday.
