September 27 (SeeNews) - The sales of Swedish fashion retailer Hennes & Mauritz (H&M) in Slovenia for the nine months through August 2018 increased by 7% year-on-year, reaching 433 million Swedish crowns ($49.0 million/41.9 million euro), the company said on Thursday.
In the local currency, H&M sales in Slovenia gained 1% compared to sales in the prior-year period, the company said in its financial report for the first nine months of its financial year started on December 1.
In the third quarter of the financial year, H&M sales in Slovenia jumped 14% to 166 million Swedish crowns. In the local currency, H&M sales in Slovenia in the period June 1-August 31 increased 7% year-on-year.
H&M operated 12 stores in Slovenia at the end of August, after closing down one store.
In Southeast Europe, H&M is also present in Bulgaria, Romania, Croatia, Turkey and Serbia.
