September 30 (SeeNews) - Sales of Swedish fashion retailer Hennes&Mauritz (H&M) in Serbia rose 8% on the year to 249 million Swedish crowns ($29 million/25.9 million euro) in the first nine months of the fiscal year 2016 starting December 1, the company said on Friday.
In the local currency, H&M sales in Serbia rose by 11% over the review period, the company said in its financial report.
In the third quarter of fiscal year 2016, H&M sales in Serbia rose 27% on the year to 94 million Swedish crowns. In the local currency, H&M sales in Serbia jumped 31% between June 1 and August 31.
H&M operated nine stores in Serbia at the end of August.
In Southeast Europe, H&M is also present in Slovenia, Bulgaria, Romania, and Croatia.
