October 17 (SeeNews) - Trading in the shares of two companies generated 71% of the turnover on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) on Tuesday, bourse data showed.
Total trading turnover on the Sofia bourse rose to 4.5 million levs ($2.7 million/2.3 million euro) on Tuesday from 1.2 million levs on Monday.
A total of 965,600 shares of Galata Investment Company [BUL:GTH] changed hands at an average price of 1.657 levs per share, generating a turnover of 1.6 million levs.
A further 1.6 mln levs were generated by trade in real estate investment company Regala Invest [BUL:RGL], as 615,400 of the company’s shares changed hands at an average price of 2.6 levs.
Sirma Group Holding [BUL:SKK] was the most traded blue-chip on Monday, as 31,809 of its shares were traded at an average price of 1.051 levs.
Hydraulic equipment manufacturer M+S Hydraulic [BUL:5MH] rose the most among blue chips on the Sofia bourse, closing 2.3% higher at 8.0 levs.
The blue-chip SOFIX index rose 0.12% to 671.11 points on Tuesday, after a 0.17% increase on Monday.
The broader BGBX40 index, which tracks the 40 most traded shares on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE), added 0.03% to 131.35 points, after edging up 0.05% on Monday.
The BG-REIT index, which tracks the performance of real estate investment trusts, decreased 0.13% to 114.98 points on Tuesday. On Monday, the index closed 0.12% higher.
The BG TotalReturn30 index, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight, fell 0.03% to 546.51 points, following a 0.12% increase on Monday.
Industrial Holding Bulgaria [BUL:4ID] was the top blue chip decliner, closing 4.55% lower at 0.964 levs.
