December 27 (SeeNews) - The main share indices of the Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE) advanced on Monday, supported by gains in hotel operator Valamar Riviera [ZSE:RIVP] and Hrvatski Telecom [ZSE:HT], bourse data showed.
The ZSE's blue-chip 21-share benchmark CROBEX index closed at 2,047.73 points, up 0.24% compared to the closing price on Thursday. The Zagreb bourse was closed on Friday for Christmas Eve.
The narrower of the ZSE's two blue-chip indices, the CROBEX10, which tracks the top ten companies in terms of free float, market capitalisation and liquidity, added 0.33% to finish at 1,249.47 points.
The most liquid stock on the bourse on Monday was Valamar Riviera, generaring a turnover of 1.6 million kuna ($241,000/213,000 euro). Its shares gained 1.88% to finish at 32.50 kuna. Last week the company announced that it has launched this autumn a 525 million kuna investment programme together with partners this autumn aimed at improving the quality of hotels, summer resorts and campsites under its management.
Blue chip and index heavyweight Hrvatski Telekom increased 0.27% to end at 184 kuna in a turnover of 1.0 million kuna.
The ZSE's turnover fell to 5.4 million kuna from 8.6 million kuna on Thursday.
